About

Year: 2024

Sorted cuts through the noise of men's skincare. No macho marketing. No clinical complexity. Just straightforward products that work.

We believe taking care of yourself should be simple. Clean design, clear information, quality products. Because looking good shouldn't be complicated – it should just be Sorted.

Why This Project Got Me Excited

Growing up around traditional "macho" mindsets, I always questioned why taking care of yourself was seen as "unmanly." As a design student, I saw the perfect chance to shake things up with my final project. The skincare market was screaming for a brand that could speak to guys without the whole "extreme sports in a bottle" vibe or the clinical whitewashing. I wanted to create something that my friends would actually want to put on their bathroom shelf.

The Reality Check

The Reality Check

Let's be honest – most men's skincare products look like they could either fuel a motorcycle or disinfect a hospital. Where's the middle ground? Through conversations with friends and potential users, I discovered guys want effective skincare without the fluff – but they also don't need their face wash to look like motor oil.

I started by throwing out everything I knew about "masculine" branding. Instead, I focused on what actually matters to my target audience:

  • No-nonsense solutions that work

  • Products that feel premium but not pretentious

  • Design that looks good but doesn't scream for attention

  • Information that's clear and straight to the point

The breakthrough came when I realized we needed to treat men like humans who want to look good, not like tactical operators planning a skincare mission. The name "Sorted" clicked because it's exactly how you want to feel – put together, without making a big deal about it.

The Aha Moment

The best feedback came from my skeptical friends who admitted they'd actually use these products. My professors were impressed by how the brand challenged category conventions, and my research resonated with my target audience – 90% of guys in my focus group felt the brand spoke their language. But my personal victory? Creating a brand that helps normalize men taking care of themselves.

Did It Work? (SPOILER: =YES!)
